Mark Walker and others, came to Campbell Street Bike Shop in Arlington Heights to sign two bike safety bills into law.  The turn out was incredible - a casual headcount at around 100 packed the bike shop.  Cycling clubs from all over the suburbs (Arlington Heights, Oak Park, Schaumburg, Elmhurst, Wheeling and others) were well represented at the event. 

    Great to see good things happen to good people.  Congrats to Peter and Tiffany Barson of Campbell Street Bikes for being chosen to host the signing and pulling off the event with shining colors.  A special shout out to Tim Mickelson, new owner of the Biggby Coffee franchise in Arlington Heights, for providing much needed and appreciated coffee and tea for the early morning event.

Quinn To Sign Bike Bills At Campbell Street Bike Shop Late braking and exciting news!  Illinois Governor Pat Quinn will be signing two bike related bills into law at Campbell Street Bike Shop in downtown Arlington Heights on Monday July 5th at 9 a.m.    The two bills that Gov. Quinn will be signing, create 'Share the Road' license plates and establish penalties for motorists who harass bicyclists.  Campbell Street Bike Shop is at 13 W Campbell St.

    Congratulations to Peter and Tiffany for getting to host this event!  Sounds like a great way to start the last day of the long holiday weekend - hope to see many people there.
