Odd Chicago Bears Trivia
Here is a little nugget to share in upcoming Chicago Bears conversations. Pointed out in a Q&A on the Chicago Bears Official Website, this is the first time team history (since the NFL started keeping records in 1932) that all three team leaders in passing (Brian Griese), rushing (Cedric Benson) and receiving (Bernard Berrian) from the previous season are not on the roster for the following season. Granted all three players had pretty lackluster numbers on a bad to mediocre team, but it shows how much the Bears have to rebuild in order to get back to respectability.

Requiem For A Day Off
Take Ferris Bueller's Day Off, add music from Requiem For A Dream and a little editing. Voila! A movie trailer with a completely different vibe. [via - kottke.org]

As you can see, Harvard Avenue has a new layout. (Currently only on the front page - the other pages will be converted after I'm sure I'm happy with the new look.) There have been a bunch of changes rolling around in my head for awhile and this week my schedule allowed them to be realized. I wanted to open up the layout a bit which in turn gave some room to widgets from BuzzFeed and Last.FM. Also added a drop down menu in the archive section now lets you go back by 'Category' in addition to month.
My new work projects are falling into a normal routine, so activity on the site should get back up to speed!

Mmm...Abe Lincoln's Head on a stick.
Is there anything more appetizing than the thought of licking Lincoln's face?
