I'm really linking to this as a test because my daily links don't seem to be working. Heck, try the recipe too.

Financing problems with the CityCenter project in Vegas might leave a bunch of half-completed high-rises and malls just off the strip. How will the great minds of Sin City parlay this into a feature?

Sans Brackets
This year, I didn't fill out any brackets for the NCAA tournament. So far, I haven't been pulled into any game coverage or March Madness related events.
It feels real good. It's very liberating not checking scores, calculating points and watching tedious television coverage chock full of human interest stories. I don't miss it one bit.

Text The Library
You're out with a friend and he insists that Kevin Bacon was in Red Dawn. You tell him he's wrong, but he's adamant and even bets you dinner that he's right. If there was a computer nearby, you'd head over to the IMDB and show him the error of his ways. Unfortunately, you're waiting to get seated at the restaurant and you'd really like him to pay for your dinner tonight. What do you do? Send the Arlington Heights Memorial Library a text message!
Yes, our Arlington Heights library can now answer your questions via text message. All you have to do is text your question to 265010 and start your message with "ahmlq:"
For example: 265010
ahmlq: Was Kevin Bacon in the film Red Dawn
Someone will answer question as soon as possible - probably before you get the appetizer. The new text message service is part of the latest AHML YouTube video.
BTW - you can also find the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on MySpace and Facebook, so pay them a visit and add them to your friends list.

Back From The Butte
The rumors of this blogs demise have been greatly exaggerated. ;)
As you may have figured by the lack of activity on the site, we were out of town. We spent the week skiing in Crested Butte. Lots of snow and simply beautiful. We had never been to Crested Butte, in fact I hadn't been skiing in about 15+ years - Inga in 30+ years. Though Inga collected some bruises, we came home injury free and had a lot of fun. I'd say C.B. will be very high on our list next time we go skiing...hopefully we won't wait so long to go skiing again!
Photos on the way.
