Finnerty Children Benefit Tomorrow

Several downtown Arlington Heights businesses are donating a portion of their profits tomorrow to benefit the Finnerty Children's Trust.

Borrowing from a list on bhr1's blog, here are some businesses that are participating tomorrow. There may be more business that are participating, that I haven't heard about.

  • Tuscan Market
  • Ciao Bella Shoe Boutique
  • Bentley's Corner Barkery
  • Campbell Street Bike Shop
  • Flaherty Jewelers
  • Runners Hi 'n Tri
  • Urban Harvest

Chase Bank is managing the trust, so you can also stop and donate directly to the trust.

Tuscan Market was planning to celebrate their one year anniversary of the wine bar with Amy Philpott at the helm. She is converting the celebration into a fundraiser, so a special 'hats off' to her and Tuscan Market.

The Finnerty Children's Trust benefits the two surviving children of the tragic fire this week.

UPDATE - This is from the Daily Herald. Village Bank and Trust is also managing a fund for the kids in the care of the guardian.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the trust fund set up at Village Bank & Trust of Arlington Heights for the two surviving children.
Send donations made out to Jennifer Murphy, guardian, to Village Bank & Trust, 311 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

UPDATE Friday June 5th - Donations can also be made at South Middle School, 400 S. Highland Ave., Arlington Heights. Make checks payable to "South Middle School."
