Kirk Wants No Second Life

Our Rep. Mark Kirk is sponsoring a bill to ban access to Second Life in schools and libraries because of lack of robust age verification. The American Libraries Association as well as others oppose the legisltation.

Good job Rep. Kirk. It's not like there is anything important like a war, recession, housing meltdown, global food crisis, and runaway energy prices to worry about. Kirk is also anti-net neutrality and pro government eavesdropping. He just loves legislating new ways to protect us from ourselves. Wish our Representative would work on real issues, but that takes some real work.
