Philadelphia Express
Hi. Just got back from a very quick trip with Inga to Philadelphia. She was there on business, so I spent yesterday and this morning walking around Philly taking photos. Saw the touristy things (thankfully you can see the Liberty Bell from the outside so I didn't have to subject myself to the tour) and some not touristy things. Enough of a visit to get a taste and say I'd been there. The 'Old Town' was much hipper than the cheap guidebook led me to believe. Turned out to be my favorite neighborhood and subsequently had the least amount of sewer and steam vent smell. No cheesesteaks (still not eating red meat) but we did have an excellent dinner at Vietnam in Chinatown and an egg and cheese filled crepe at a Reading Terminal Market.
Time to get back into the swing of things and glad to be back. I do have several large knots in my right calf from all the walking so I guess I did bring home a souvenir besides the photo.
