Disappointment
Just some quick thoughts before I go to bed:
The game started off so well for the Bears with Hester's kickoff touchdown return. I thought for sure that the good Bears vibes I'd been feeling all day we're for real. Turn's out it was just gas.
Focusing on the positive, the evening wasn't a total loss. Got to spend some quality time with family and friends, yell at the TV and had some incredible food from Asian Bistro.
If there is a brightside to losing the Superbowl, it's listening to the die-hard Bears fans vent their spleens on sports radio. This is pure radio gold and will be going on all week if not longer. As I scribble out this meager post, I'm listening to the Doug Buffone and Ed O'Bradovich post game show on WSCR and tempers are flaring off the charts. If they and the fans could make personel moves tonight, the coaching staff and all the offensive would get their walking papers tonight. If windows weren't frozen shut across Chicagoland, there might be some jumpers.
I wonder if you can get any good deals on Bears merchandise tomorrow? Maybe when the temperature gets above single digits I'll go back to Dick's.and check out the cool but way-too expensive for my blood hoodies they had before the game.
Oh well, life goes on. It just seems a little colder outside and the forecast tomorrow says the high will be 1 degree.
