Bears Hysteria - Take Me Away!!!
I've been busy. Busy with all sorts of things in all sorts of areas. Not that it's a bad thing. I have a good feeling about how the year is beginning.
Despite my schedule, I managed to keep the last two Sundays free to watch the Bears march to Miami. I never figured they'd make it this far, but never closed the door to the possibility that they would make it all the way either. Now I'm gladly letting the Bears Superbowl hype wash over me and enjoying every moment.
Unlike the White Sox World Series run, the Bears making the Superbowl is a unifying experience. For the most part, everyone is pulling the same direction. The degrees of fanaticism and pessimism vary wildly, but in a little less than two weeks we'll all be parked in front of the game. For now, I'll gladly soak up all the analysis and talk radio banter that comes my way. I didn't realize just how long ago '85 really was and who knows when this will happen again.
I'm keeping my pocket camera charged and ready in the hopes of catching some random acts of extreme fandom.
