CCleaner
I've been trying out CCleaner (aka Crap Cleaner) for over two months now and think it is such a great tool that I want to spread the word.
This piece of Windows software does several things to keep your PC from slowing down. It cleans all the cookies, temporary, history and other disposable files from your PC. It gives you an easily accessable place to control the programs that run at startup (I know you can already do that in Windows, but for some reason it is not easy to access) and remove programs. What makes CCleaner stand out enough for me to sing it's praises, is that it is the best registry cleaner I've used. The registry cleaning feature is simple, effective, and unlike other cleaning packages I have tried, has not corrupted my registry once.
To top it all off, it does everything fast and is free (donations are accepted). If your PC is sluggish and defragging isn't enough, give CCleaner a whirl
