TrustE Websites Twice As Likely To Be Untrustworthy

Wired blog, '27 B Stroke 6' has a post today about a study that found that TrustE certified sites are twice as likely to spam you or install spyware than the general website population.

Ben Edelman, a researcher working on his Ph.D. in economics at Harvard, compared close to 1,000 TrustE certified sites to over 500,000 sites of a major ISP. Edelman found that 5.4% of Trust-E sites were untrustworthy compared to 2.5% of the baseline.
