Led Zeppelin Rules

Led Zeppelin Rules

On my way to the library, I saw that someone had written 'Led Zeppelin Rules' into the sidewalk (it was even done in a classic Zeppelinesque font). This section of sidewalk was pretty new, between 1 to 3 years old, not a relic from the 70s or 80s.

It got me wondering. Assuming that the graffiti writer was someone in the age range from a teen to early 20s; isn't there anyone more contemporary they would want to immortalize in cement? Don't get me wrong, I realize that Led Zeppelin is still popular, but are they still pulling in new young fans? Looking at this, I would guess that they are making in roads with at least some teens.

The flip-side is that this sidewalk graffiti was done by someone in their 30s or 40s (or 50s?) who still feels the need to profess that 'Led Zeppelin Rules' to the world, which is a very creepy thought...
