Arlington Jockey Thrown - Goes To Hospital
Arlington Park Jockey, Eduardo Perez, was thrown off his horse Cats Jazzy on Monday. Cats Jazzy 'broke down' down the stretch and Perez was thrown. He was able to walk away from the accident, but asked to be taken to the hospital (Northwest Community).
I love Arlington Park and horse racing, but the sad reality is that not all horses are treated like Barbaro when they get injured. Barbaro is the exception to the rule since he is so valuable to stud even if he can't race. There is no word on Cats Jazzy, so... Well, lets not assume the worse. I'll keep searching for news on him.
