Wind And Knees Blowing
The wind is really blowing today which is making the day real interesting on many levels. Gusts are passing 40 mph which is strong enough to knock down our patio trellis, but for some reason not strong enough to blow the leaves out of the yard. I think I just saw a squirrel sail past my window.
The wind is also making what planned to be a dull Bears game very entertaining. The wind is making passing and kick next to impossible, though so far the 49ers have managed to get one field goal while the Bears have missed two. The ball starts of straight but the wind knocks it ninety degrees to the side. Another blowing in the game; Cedric Benson had a 'Theisman-esqe' knee injury that makes you wince. That knee is blown.
Wow! As I write this the 49ers had a field goal attempt get knocked down by the wind. Nathan Vasher catches the kick on the fly on the fly and runs it back for the touchdown setting an NFL record with a 108 yard field goal return. Like I said, it's one of those games.
