A friend (shout out to uber musician - Doug Johnson) turned me on to BuyBlue.org this weekend. BuyBlue gives you a thumbnail view on where businesses make political contributions and where their business practices rate in several categories (labor/human rights, environment, employment equality, corporate/social responsibility, and industry practices). If you are so inclined , it gives you the opportunity to vote with your wallet.
On a side yet related note, we are currently in the market for kitchen cabinets. We decided not to do business with a certain cabinet company that recently relocated their showroom on Northwest Highway as the owner's SUV had a 'W' sticker prominently displayed on it. Never thought those stickers would be good for anything. Guess I was wrong... :)
