Minutemen and Protestors Face-Off in Arlington Heights
The first summit of the Chicago Minutemen project met in Arlington Heights at the Christian Liberty Academy and were met by about 500 demonstrators, mainly from the Coalition of African, Asian, European and Latino Immigrants of Illinois. We live just a few blocks from where the meeting face-off occurred, but unfortunately didn't notice anything until the crowds had moved away down Euclid towards the courthouse. There were police and tactical vehicles from all over the area in our neighborhood. Five protesters were arrested for assaulting police officers.
